When I was seventeen years old, I moved to the United States from Russia where my childhood and teenage years were spent. I have always been interested in photography and it became the starting point of my art journey. I got my first Canon camera in 2008 and since then have shot thousands of pictures up through now. As my interest in art grew, so did my desire to learn more and be able to do more and maybe something I had never imagined I was capable of - drawing.
With a great passion to learn I started school at the SLCC pursuing a degree in Animation and Illustration. It was a struggle from start to finish, but I have worked beyond my limits and I was able to successfully graduate in 2011, with honors. After that, I was lucky enough to work as an animator at TML Studios and apply the skills that I gained in college.
In 2014 I published my first novel, Tinted Fire. It was a major accomplishment and a huge milestone for me, since I had carried the idea for the book since I started college. That’s what I love to do the most - tell stories. It doesn’t matter through what means the story is told: a photograph, a painting, a piece of writing, or an animation. As long as there are stories forming in my head and a pair of willing eyes is there to see or read it, I’m not going to stop.
A little glimpse at the programs I'm most familiar with.
A few of the things I'm proud of.
Learning new things and acquiring new skills is an ongoing process which I intend to continue throughout my whole life
I graduated from Salt Lake Community College as an honor student with a dergee in Illustration and Animation in 2011. The time was very well spent there for me as I learned from the ground up without any particular art background but with a great passion for art.
